Gavin Update

Thank you all for your prayers! Gavin is hanging in there after trying to get blood (to no avail) last night they put in an I.V., he woke up every 2 hrs last night. This morning they were not allowed to feed them as they had scheduled an ultrasound of his head and an Upper G.I. with follow through scheduled for 1pm. He finally got that finished around 4pm and they put in an NG feeding tube that took 3 attempts around 5:00 and he is asleep now. They will start his feeding around 6pm.

They are admitting Gavin to St. Joseph's today.
The other formula they put him on gave him diarrhea, and switched his formula to a highly basic formula with nothing in it and he was vomiting still and not keeping it down. So after three months of this baby suffering and loosing weight they are going to finally run more tests.
Will let you all know when he is admitted and we find anything out.

Please continue to pray for Gavin, he is still vomiting although it seems a little better than previously, he will be 4 mo. old next week and has only gained 3 lbs since his birth.

Please pray for us, there is a good possibility that we would have to relocate back to Illinois for Larry's job.
Pray that GOD would make HIS will crystal clear to us & give us peace that passes all understanding until he reveals HIS will to us.

Last night we lost our Little Angel Alexandra Hope. She was born 17 months ago with a tumor on her heart and one in her brain. She was doing fine running around and talking. Her own little personality had formed. She is our great niece, and my sister-inlaws only grand child.
Needless to say we are all upset. But God has taken her home. We know that our Father who just passed away is taking her in his arms now.

The one thing I will tell you is that every moment is precious and do not let a second go by with out telling someone you love them.

Gavin Update

Gavin had a really good day today, he didn't have his usual projectile vomiting only spit up. We are praying the Previcid is working and that he will start to gain some weight.

Lisa Update

My brother, Joe, called today and gave me the report on Lisa, his wife. She does have cancer--on--not in, her bones. There is no cancer in her brain or in her lungs. My brother said the doctor was hopeful. If the medication to inhibit the growth of the cancer does not work, then he says they will do chemo. She had chemo when she had breast cancer three years ago.

My precious brother was actually encouraged because it wasn't as bad as they had expected. Please keep Lisa and Joe in your prayers. I am very, very grateful for your prayers. Lisa is experiencing a lot of pain, but she has not taken anything narcotic because she wants to be alert and "normal" for her children. She wants to spend every minute she can with them. Please, please pray that she will be touched and healed by the Lord. He is well able to deliver her.

Gavin Update

The Ultrasound & Urinanalysis both came back normal, as did his enzyme tests. I asked Brittany to double check with them to see if they are running a complete allergen test on the blood they drew. Hope to know more soon. The vomiting has changed sometimes it doesn't occur until 1.5 hours after eating and it is partially digested other times it occurs immediately after eating. He is still loosing weight and currently is 10lbs at 3mo.
Pray for GOD'S healing for Gavin and to give this Doctor wisdom as to the cause & treatment.

I just talked to Brittany and I can tell she is frustrated. The techs only watched a few seconds while the barium started emptying into his upper intestine and said okay... as soon as she picked him up he vomited...the nurses stopped as it went across the floor.
She is trying to reach the ped. today, he was in pain & crying most of the night from what he didn't vomit & wouldn't even eat.
Please pray that GOD gives this Doctor the wisdom to know what & how to treat him quickly.

My Husband's Father & Step Mother

Were in a serious car accident last night on their way home from Illinois... The other driver t-boned Dad's side of the car, their brand new car is totaled and they were both released from the hospital late last night with some injuries.
Larry drove to Jacksonville early this morning to pick them up, after waiting for the gentleman to open the impound lot at noon they gathered their belongings & are en-route back to Claremont.
Please pray for their safe drive home & Larry's peace of mind as the car was pretty bad to see.

Please pray for Carols brother Larry, He's at the hospital for a stress test where they actually put him in cardiac arrest, then monitor his heart, then stop it...he's had this before and ususally always has had to stay there for a bipass or stints...so let's pray that things go well

He has had several stints, and gone through open heart surgery. they heard some gurgling in his chest and are afraid of congestive heart failure. so there is fluid somewwhere around his heart.

his legs have been swelling so bad that he is in alot of pain at times. he's so brave to live with the fears about his heart and all...he said he packed his bag and is expecting to stay in the hospital, because he has never passed this stress test they're doing and has always gone right into surgery.

he has come through so much over the last few years, just pray God keeps him safe and with us a whole lot longer...thanks for your prayers....

Carwin was taken to LRMC today after experiencing similar symptoms prior to having quadruple bipass surgery five years ago. He has been admitted and according to Marlene was still waiting for a room when she left. Carwin will be undergoing tests on his heart.

Thursday 8/28 3pm UPDATE So far Carwin has had EKGs and and an eko cardiogram. Tomorrow they are going to do a stress test. Originally they were going to do a chemical stress test but that's been changed to a treadmill test. If that shows nothing he will have a heart catherization.

Please pray for Bobbie's daughter she is on the waiting list for a pancreas, they were called at 1am to let her know she was on standby. An hour later they called & told her to hold all food & liquid they had a pancreas but everything needed to be perfect.

Bobbie asked us all to pray for the family of the donor that lost their loved one.

4 hours later they received another call, it went to another candidate at the Primary Hospital.

Little Gianna is still in the hospital. Surgery this morning was successful, however, she still hasn't urinated (even after 3 bags of fluids) and they haven't been able to get her to take the medication she needs by mouth. She is awake for 5 minutes then asleep for 45. The doctor may keep her overnight. Continue to keep her your prayers.

Folks,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to you all to let you know Carol Nagy passed away early this morning in Lakeland, FL, about 7am, 17 Feb 2008, died in her sleep.

Several months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and immediately set to work doing what she was famous for, saving animals. She had a house full of doggies that had come from some very tough situations and she wanted to make sure they were placed in homes that could handle their special needs.
Keri Eckert her daughter was right there with her mom, helping her fulfill her dying wish. Kari set everything aside to help her mom get through this final stage in her life. Carol struggled to stay alive in hopes of seeing all her animals find new homes, a rescuer to the very end.

She had 6 dogs left when she was placed in the hospital in Tampa in January. We were able to set up transport to get 2 moved to PA & WV. That left 4 doggies, 2 of them very special needs. Then about a week ago, I was fortunate enough to talk with Carol, and let her know we had two transports in place, to move the other 4 to there new homes, that it would all be happening this coming Friday, 22 Feb. This was the news she so desperately needed to hear to have peace. That evening she began to fade quickly.

Carol was moved back from the VA Hospital in Tampa, to hospice in Lakeland just a few minutes from her home this past Wednesday. We managed to post the final run sheet for the last 2 dogs yesterday morning. Keri, her daughter, was able to take the copy and show her mom that the last 2 were definitely on their way. Carol finally had peace to move on and she did just that early this morning.

About 4 yrs ago I met Carol when we both were involved in rescuing doxies. Carol did much more than doxies. She helped rescue and transport for every breed of dog and cat, and she was heavily involved in saving many lives through 3 major hurricanes, Hurricane Charlie (Punta Gorda, FL area), Hurricane Ivan (Panhandle, AL & FL – Mobile, AL to Crawfordville, FL area) and Hurricane Katrina (all MS & LA coast). She moved animal, equipment, food, and lots of hope. She continued on until a few of month ago, when Carol’s health began to fail due to cancer. Carol opened up her arms and gave a home to those who were left without hope, including the human kind.

Kari was supposed to move this weekend into her mom home, since maintaining two homes with no income coming in was a huge burden, and now with a few more little doggies to help, she adopted some of her mom’s pets also. Sadly Kari’s move was delayed until this next Thurs, for very obvious reasons. Kari needs our help now more than ever to get through this very difficult time in her life. Let her know how very special her mom Carol was to all of us and how many lives she touched.

Thursday Prayer Requests

Beth's Mom, she is 79 yrs old & has been battling an upper respiratory infection/cold , she was feeling weak and having 'flu-like' symptoms.
They took her into the hospital Monday & found she had blown a hole in her heart on Saturday & was bleeding internally.
She had 12 hours worth of surgery & is in an induced coma right now, her heart has been beating out of normal rhythm and her lungs still have quite a bit of mucus.
Please pray for her, we are pretty sure she is a Christian but if not please pray GOD provide the opportunity for a witness in the ICU ,for her & her family and that GOD heal this woman' s heart & lungs.

My brother's fiancee's son and his wife is expecting a baby girl in March the baby will die within a few minutes after it is born because it doesn't have any pulmonary arteries and there isn't anything that the doctors can do.
I talked to her a few days ago and the expecting parents had been sent to a specialist and he confirmed what they had been told earlier. There still isn't anything that can be done to save this precious baby except for a miracle.
My brother just lost his son back in July and our dad passed away a little over a year ago.
Please pray that our wonderful and awesome God forms the arteries that this baby needs and that it lives a long life.

January 19th at approx 12:30 E.S.T. Julian went home to be with The LORD.
While we are all happy this little boy is no longer suffering here with cancer we

Julian was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (aggressive cancerous brain tumor) .The tumor, the size of a golfball was totally resected on march 9th 2007. He has gone thru 6 weeks of radiations in april/may and after a 4 week break started chemo.

He was recently given a few weeks left here on earth. Please pray for this little boy & his family!

I have decided to keep this blog but change it's purpose. Some of you know I have a group of friends, family, co-workers who I contacted a few years back to pray for a dear friends mother who was battling cancer. She is doing great by the way.

This started as a simple request from her son for me to pray for his mother, I went through my email address' and contacted everyone I knew that would be willing to pray for her. This email group is called "Prayer Warriors", over the years they have continued to receive emails with prayer requests, most of them don't know the person requesting the prayer, sometimes they do. The only requirement is that they prayed for those whom GOD led them to pray, they did not have to pray for everyone unless they felt led to do so. Anyone could send a request to be prayed for it didn't matter what the subject.

These warriors are from different denominations and while some live nearby in Florida, others live across this country.
Men & women who believe that they are called to pray on behalf of someone that is hurting. A few know each other because they are co-workers & friends, some are friends that started as my customers, others I have not even met myself but they requested prayer or asked to become a member.

Over these last few years I have had 2 computer hard drives crash so I have lost member address' (they are as a group so no individual name is seen) and I could not remember everyone in that original group of over 100 people.

If you would like to become a prayer warrior or have a request please email me anytime. If you don't mind sharing the request I will post as much or as little of the information on this blog as you would like me to post. I just ask that you keep us updated on your requests as they can be encouraging to those who are praying.
